One of the group's adminstrators will approve your request.
What is a Google Account, and why would I want one?
From a practical point of view, a Google Account allows you to do two things: change your own preferences and view the group's message page online. It is not the same thing as having a gmail account.
Without a Google Account, you still get messages in your inbox, you can unsubscribe easily, and if you want to change your preferences you can ask the listserv owner or a listserv administrator to do it.
You can create a Google Account easily at www.google.com, using your existing email address. (Again, this does NOT create a gmail mailbox.) When you log into your Google Account, you can see and edit preferences for our group and for any others you might belong to.
How will I know I'm getting messages from the listserv?
Emails sent to the group are identified by the words [Parents of Central Park School] in the subject line.
How would I get off the list?
Every message sent from our listserv has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
